At Mumshine, your privacy is important to us. Privacy is a core condition of counselling, it is essential for trust and without trust we are unable to support the amazing mums we do.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you access our services, purchase resources, or visit our website. We are committed to protecting your data with care and transparency, in accordance with Australian Privacy Laws and the laws of Western Australia.
1. What Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of personal information: Your name, email address, physical address, phone number, mental health and wellbeing history, emergency contacts and payment information (processed by third-party secure payment platforms - Zeller and Stripe). For counselling clients we are also required under the ACA code of Ethics and Practice to take notes and maintain records. We might also track usage data from our website or learning platform to help us tailor services and content. You might also provide additional information voluntarily in session, through booking forms, in emails, phone-calls or other communications with us.
2. How We Collect Your Information
We collect information when you complete contact forms or purchase services via our website (via Wix); Book sessions or complete intake documentation through Halaxy; Attend sessions via Zoom (only basic info is stored); Communicate with us via email, phone or via or our contact form.
3. How Your Information Is Used
We use your information to provide counselling, coaching, and educational services, schedule sessions, manage your bookings, and deliver resources, communicate with you about appointments or services, process payments securely, send updates or marketing materials (only if you opt in) and to improve our website and services.
4. Third Parties & Data Sharing
We only share your information when necessary to deliver services. This includes: Halaxy for practice management and secure client notes, Zoom for online sessions, Stripe and Zeller for secure payment processing, Wix for website hosting, forms, and email marketing (opt-in only). We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. Marketing and Cookies
If you choose to subscribe to our mailing list, your email address will be stored securely through Wix. You can unsubscribe at any time. We may use cookies and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how users interact with our website. This helps us improve your experience. We take your privacy seriously. We use secure platforms (Halaxy, Zoom, Wix) and password-protected systems to safeguard your information. Only authorised personnel have access to your records. As part of supervision I may share client cases for feedback, however these cases are always deidentified to protect your privacy and personal information.

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; Request corrections to inaccurate data; Request the deletion of your personal information (unless required to retain it for legal or professional purposes).
